I overheard a conversation tonight between my daughter and my father's wife. I heard my daughter say, "I have a story..."
I didn't hear what the story was because I was so surprised to hear those words come out of her mouth. I have never explained to her the theory behind the ALC statement of "I have a story." She just totally gets it. She is listening to me use the language of ALC and is begining to try it on for herself.
I feel excited and humbled and honored and happy to be raising a conscious child. I feel excited and happy when I think about what the future holds in store for her with these amazing tools she is being given. And, most especially in this moment, I feel profoundly awed by this understanding of the concept of "teaching by example."
